Adam Roberts

Pitmaster Adam Roberts is a prominent figure in the world of barbecue, and his journey as a renowned barbecue expert and advocate began with the co-founding of the Australasian Barbecue Alliance (ABA) in 2014. Recognizing the potential of barbecue as not only a culinary tradition but also a cultural phenomenon, Adam set out to establish an organization that could unite and promote the barbecue community in the Australasian region. The ABA quickly gained traction and became a platform for barbecue enthusiasts, professionals, and aficionados to come together, exchange knowledge, and showcase their skills.

Building on the success of the ABA, Adam continued his pursuit of advancing barbecue culture by co-founding the New Zealand Barbecue Alliance (NZBA) in 2017. With the NZBA, he extended his efforts to foster the growing barbecue scene in New Zealand, encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences between barbecue enthusiasts from both sides of the Tasman Sea. As the inaugural General Manager of both organizations, Adam played a pivotal role in shaping their identities and creating a vibrant barbecue community.
